OK, so continuing the trip to Telluride...
The photo on the right is again of the little river running alongside the town. I took it because I loved the color of the blue spruce hanging over the water flowing over the river rocks, some of which were almost the same blue.

Here is the waterfall, or part of it, at the end of the hike we did from Telluride. That's Joanna walking up towards the waterfall |
And here's Jim... |
And John... |
This is the view facing away from the waterfall towards the valley. Pretty special. |
These two women thought so too. Nice enough for some quiet meditation... |
We could have taken dozens of photos of houses in Telluride. It probably took a gazillion hours to do the trim on this one in so many colors. |
Most of the motorcycles in town are Harleys or those noisy covered-in-dirt off road monsters. This Vespa with a sidecar was just cute. I was sort of hoping someone would come along and have their dog jump into the sidecar. Maybe wearing a pair of goggles... |
One evening we took the free gondola up to Mountain Village to hear a great funk band at an outdoor performance. There was a huge and happy crowd up there!! And the views going up and down again in the gondola were phenomenal. |
See? Great free performance, good food and drink, great weather, lots of dancing people, young and old. Many, many dogs!!
We said goodbye to John and Joanna a few days ago and headed south, spending another night near Telluride in a campground and then driving to Mesa Verde National Park, where we are now. More on the Ancestral Puebloan cliff dwellings and other marvels of Mesa Verde coming soon! |
What a wonderful selection of photos. I did not know anything about Telluride before reading your blogs. Thanks for sharing!
